City of Omaha's Green Garden Workshops
Sustainable landscapes and rain gardens provide alternatives to conventional landscape approaches, and help manage rain where it lands so that it can be used for your landscaping rather than routing it to the streets and sewers. These landscapes can reduce the need for chemicals, excessive watering, and can save you money. Sustainable landscapes and rain gardens highlight the natural beauty of our area and bring back the wonders of songbirds and butterflies to our yards.
Come and learn from experts how you can change the landscape of your yard. And, you’ll receive the new rain garden manual to guide you through design, plant selection, planting, care and maintenance at home.
