2012 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES

Dear Neighbor,

The 2012 legislative session will be upon us very soon, and I am looking forward to representing downtown and South Omaha in the Nebraska Legislature. To make it easier for you to get involved in the legislative process, I have created a brief survey covering a variety of topics that may come before the Legislature in 2012.

2. It is a policy priority of mine to make Nebraska more tax friendly for retirees. To that end, would you support legislation to exempt Social Security income from taxation in Nebraska?: *

Yes, I support reducing the tax burden on Nebraska seniors.

No, I do not support reducing the tax burden on Nebraska seniors.

3. Do you believe that government has done enough to address graffiti problems in your neighborhood? : *

5. Should state policymakers take advantage of the flexibility in health care reform to establish our own Nebraska-based health insurance exchange (marketplace) or should we allow the federal government to create and run an exchange for Nebraska? : *

Create a Nebraska-based exchange that is tailored to the needs and challenges of our state
